Artistic Statement
My name is Ella Edmundson and I am an artist.
As artists, we have the opportunity not only to entertain, but to open important discussions and to confront the toughest issues facing our society. I want to create work that has the potential to change the world - by touching hearts, capturing minds, and opening eyes to see other people in new ways.

Recent Projects
In the fall of 2025, I enjoyed acting in my first Shakespeare production, Twelfth Night, through the University of Texas Theatre and Dance Department. It was a joy working with a cast of my peers under the direction of Lucien Douglas.
I also had the opportunity to serve as Assistant Stage Manager for a student written and directed show at UT in the fall of 2025. Working behind-the-scenes on The Horribly Agonizing Three Day Death of Father James gave me the chance to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.
In 2023, I was named a Young Arts Winner in Theatre, through the U.S. Dept. of Education's National Foundation for Advancement of the Arts.
Entrance into this prestigious organization begins with a highly competitive application process, judged by an esteemed panel of judges through a rigorous blind adjudication process.
After intensive training at Young Arts Week in Miami, I was named a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts Semi-Finalist.
